AI Meeting Minutes from Any Meeting Recording
Turn one recorded meeting into structured minutes, decisions and a clear list of who owes what.
Nobody wants to be the person typing notes while everyone else talks. With this tool you record the meeting as usual, then upload the audio file afterward. The AI listens to the whole conversation and writes minutes you can paste into an email or a shared doc: the agenda items that actually came up, the decisions reached, action items with the person responsible, notable quotes with timestamps, and how much time went to each topic. It also looks at the meeting itself. You get a read on who contributed and who stayed quiet, whether the discussion followed a structure, and a scored assessment of how productive the session was, plus suggested follow-ups.
Example result
Input
A 32-minute recording of a four-person product team weekly sync held in a conference room.
Output
Topics covered: release date for the billing update (12 min), bug backlog (9 min), onboarding email copy (7 min), open floor (4 min). Decisions: the billing update ships on the 14th; the export bug is moved to next sprint. Action items: Priya to confirm the release checklist with QA by Wednesday. Tom to rewrite the second onboarding email. Owner not assigned: updating the help article (flagged for follow-up). Key quote [18:42]: "If support hasn't seen it by Tuesday we slip the date." Participation: two speakers held most of the discussion; the designer spoke only during the email topic. Effectiveness: clear decisions on the main item, but the backlog review ran long without a conclusion. Suggest a timeboxed agenda and assigning the help article before the next sync.
Scores
How it works
How Meeting Analyzer works
- 01
Upload the recording
After the meeting, sign in and upload the audio (or record a short huddle in the browser). One file is analyzed per run, and you can choose which AI model handles it.
- 02
Map topics and time
The AI works out which subjects were discussed, roughly in what order, and how many minutes each one took, so you can see when a side topic swallowed the agenda.
- 03
Pull out decisions and owners
It listens for commitments such as "I'll send the draft by Friday" and turns them into action items with a name and, when one was said, a deadline. Firm decisions are listed separately from open questions.
- 04
Assess the meeting
Finally it describes participation, quotes the moments worth keeping with timestamps, scores structure and effectiveness, and recommends what to follow up on.
Use cases
Who it is for
Team leads who run recurring syncs
Send out minutes within minutes of the call ending, and use the time-per-topic breakdown to trim the parts of the weekly meeting that keep overrunning.
Whoever got stuck taking notes
Stay in the conversation instead of typing. Upload the recording afterward and edit the draft minutes rather than writing them from memory.
Colleagues who missed the meeting
Read the decisions, owners and timestamped quotes, then jump to the exact point in the recording when you need the full context.
Tips
Get better results
- Ask attendees to say their names the first time they speak; the AI can then attach action items to real people instead of "Speaker 2".
- Put the microphone in the middle of the table or record the call's own audio, not a laptop speaker across the room.
- State decisions out loud ("So we agree: ship on the 14th"). Spoken summaries are the easiest thing for any listener to capture.
- Read the owner and deadline of each action item before you send the minutes, since names and dates are where small errors matter most.
Limitations
What it can't tell you
The minutes are an AI draft based on what the audio makes audible. Crosstalk, people far from the microphone and unfamiliar names or jargon can be missed or misheard, so someone who attended should review the output before it becomes the official record. Participation and effectiveness scores describe this one recording; they say nothing about anyone's overall performance. The tool analyzes a single uploaded file: it does not join calls, sync with calendars or task apps, or track meetings over time. Many places require consent from everyone before a meeting is recorded, so tell participants and follow the rules that apply to you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Meeting Analyzer questions
How do AI meeting minutes work?
You upload a recording of the meeting and a multimodal AI model listens to it. Instead of handing back a raw transcript, it organizes what was said into topics, decisions, action items with owners, time spent per topic and quotes with timestamps, then adds a short assessment of how well the meeting ran and what to follow up on.
Is this an AI meeting note taker that joins my calls?
No. It does not dial into Zoom, Teams or Meet, and nothing listens live. You record the meeting with whatever you already use, then upload the file here. It works for in-person meetings and phone calls too.
Can it pull out action items and who is responsible?
Yes. The AI listens for spoken commitments and lists each task with the person who took it on and any deadline mentioned. When a task was discussed but nobody claimed it, the report says so, which is often the most useful line in the minutes because unowned work is the work that slips.
Do I get a full transcript too?
The output is a meeting summary, not a verbatim transcript. It quotes important lines with timestamps so you can find them in the recording. If you need every word written out, use the speech recognition tool on the same file, and the speaker diarization tool if you also want to separate who said what.
What makes a meeting score well?
High scores go to meetings with a visible structure, decisions that are stated clearly, action items that have owners, and time spent in proportion to each topic's importance. Balanced participation also helps.
How do I use it on my account?
The meeting analyzer is part of the paid plans, which include a monthly credit allowance; each uploaded meeting uses some of it. Pick a plan on the pricing page, then open the tool from your dashboard and upload the recording.
